We Now Return to Our Weekly Scheduled Injury News Item...

Was it just yesterday that we started our news update with the words "Amazingly, hardly any of this week's news is injury-related"?

We should have known better than to do that. It was asking for trouble. Really, it was.

Rumor has it that US national junior champion Rebecca Bross, who recently had to pull out of the Pan American Gymnastics Union competition because of a knee injury, underwent knee surgery on Wednesday. It's believed to have been a major procedure that will keep Bross out of action for a considerable period of time. In addition, Bross is said to be suffering from growth pains, which may make her convalescence even more unpleasant.

Get well soon, Rebecca. Seriously, do. You're too good a gymnast to be injured all the time.
